The Ciriola has a historic and present day significance in the bakeries of Rome. Known as Italian candle bread because its colour resembles that of a candle, the Ciriola is deeply rooted in the culture of Rome and has been a staple in the meals its citizens for generations.
Now available at our bakery at Sciué Yaletown (126 Davie Street) weekday mornings is our interpretation of the traditional Ciriola. Come in and try this traditional Roman bun for yourself or take some home for the family table.
